The Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) requires non-corporate Commonwealth entities (NCEs) to complete an annual self-assessment and report their protective security status to their portfolio minister and the Department of Home Affairs.

This report provides assurance to the Australian Government and the Australian public that entities are implementing security measures that address their unique security risk environments.

The PSPF Assessment Report 2024–25 is now published. This is the first report using the compliance-based reporting model. The model emphasises evidence-based compliance, risk outcomes and measurable assurance.

In 2024-25, most entities (92%) reported an overall rating of Effective compliance. The remaining 8% of entities reported an overall rating of Moderate compliance. No entities reported an overall rating of Low compliance in 2024-25.
